Research Guidance for Academics and Universities

IMG-0793.JPG

At its best, academic work is stimulating, provocative, and insightful. With encouragement and understanding, everyone has the ability to also ensure their work communicates well to readers, and is original, significant, well-argued and evidenced. My approach is collaborative, consensus-building, and researcher-led.

For individuals and groups:

Independent, confidential developmental editing and help with improving work for academic publication

For UK universities:

  • Comprehensive assistance, training, and assessment of UoA preparedness for the UK’s REF2029 (Contribution to Knowledge; Engagement and Impact; People, Culture and Environment)

  • Mentoring for academics in positions of responsibility

I am an interdisciplinary Law Professor (Emerita, University of Kent) having taken early retirement in 2021 after nearly 30 years as a full-time academic, including as Head of School, Research DIrector and REF Coordinator.
